Student-Led Chapters
SLS chapters put prevention where it works best — in the hands of students, leading workshops for their peers on substance use, mental health, bullying, safe driving, and healthy relationships. Every chapter is led by a trained staff advisor with ongoing, direct access to SLS.
How a chapter starts
Reach out
Tell us about your school. We’ll help you choose the right model — SLS for high school, STAND for middle school.
Train your advisor
Your staff advisor receives full SLS training and ongoing, direct access to our team and materials.
Students lead
Students run workshops for their peers, backed by a statewide network of chapters doing the same work.
Two chapter models: choose what fits your school
We meet schools where they are, in high school and middle school alike. Pick the model that matches your students and we’ll help you launch it.
Students Leading Students
Our high school chapter model, where students lead prevention work for their peers on the issues they know best.
Start an SLS chapter →Students Taking A New Direction
Our middle school chapter model, building the same leadership and prevention habits earlier, before the pressures peak.
Start a STAND chapter →Dawn creates a safe space for students to try on the mantle of leadership. I love seeing students engage who have been limited in the past.
